Allegheny Commons Earth Month Celebration

Join the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy for a fun-filled day at Allegheny Commons Park as they celebrate Earth Month! Starting at 11:30 AM, Parks Conservancy will have larger-than-life lawn games, balloon artists, free food, nature activities, live music, and so much more! We will also be joined by the Y on the Fly, offering even more family-friendly activities. 

No registration is required to attend the celebration, except the following activities: 

Story Hike: Planting a Rainbow

Spring is a time of new growth and color! Celebrate the colors of spring at Allegheny Commons by listening to a read aloud of Planting a Rainbow by Lois Ehlert. Afterwards help create a colorful display on the paths with sidewalk chalk to welcome spring. This program meets at Lake Elizabeth.

Meet me in the Park

Join us outside for some family-friendly activities in Allegheny Commons to celebrate Earth Month. Enjoy nature as we play, create, and explore with simple nature activities! Activities will be located near Lake Elizabeth.
