Our Initiatives
The Playful Pittsburgh Collaborative works to inspire the Pittsburgh region and beyond to incorporate play into their daily lives. We do this through various activities including:
Annual Ultimate Play Day
The Ultimate Play Day is an annual celebration for the Pittsburgh region to come together to engage in and learn about play. Locations change each year, and activities change as well!
Hazelwood Play Trail
The Hazelwood Play Trail both literally and figuratively connects playful features in the greater Hazelwood community, and disseminates play throughout the entire neighborhood.
Recess Advocacy
The Recess Advocacy Team is a group of organizations dedicated to health and wellness, education, and play with a focus on recess practices and policies in Pre-K through 6th grade.
Pop-up Play Events
Play pop-up events are intended to be accessible to all, intergenerational, playful and fun. The Play Collaborative partners with community organizations to offer play pop-ups around the region.
