Kindergarten is a big step!
Mr. Rogers said it best: “Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.” At Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, we understand the importance of play for all aspects of healthy development and successful learning, and this special, playful day for rising Kindergarteners will ensure an optimal transition for their big year!
This event is the perfect opportunity to play and learn. Come bring in the start of a new school year with your friends at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh’s 15th annual Kindergarten Here I Come celebration on Saturday August 17th from 10a - 2p.
Learners entering kindergarten and one accompanying caretaker will be granted FREE admission to the Museum! Not to mention, Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh will be equipping learners with backpacks, books, supplies and everything they need to start the year off with a smile. And, to pay it forward you can bring something to donate The Education Partnership’s school supply drive for learners in our region.
Learners can ride a real school bus, get a free vision screening, and enjoy a concert or book reading all in one visit.
When you visit, you will see some of your favorite community friends like Trying Together, the Playful Pittsburgh Collaborative, WQED Education, and the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh!
If you have any questions, give the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh a ring at 412-322-5058.
We hope to see you there!
